Company History
Aburns Glass are glaziers, glass merchants and auto glass
specialists offering an
extensive range of glass products and services.
Aburns Glass Industries was established in 1898 by Samuel F
Aburn, at its foundation the company was situated at 389 Princes
Street and specialised inpainting, decorating and glazing.
In 1927 a plate glass factory was opened on the corner of Carroll
and Hope Streets where glass beveling, mirror and leadlight
manufacturing and glass bending was carried out.
In 1978 the company shifted to 152 Crawford Street and shortly
afterwards sold off the decorating
side of the business to continue specializing in glass alone.
Aburns moved its premises to 45 Otaki Street in 2002 and in 2005,
Aburns Glass Industries Ltd became Aburns Glass 2005 Ltd.
